Kevin Schindler, M.S.
Kevin Schindler is the historian and public information officer at Lowell Observatory, in Flagstaff, Arizona, where he has worked for 30 years. He has authored eight books and contributes a bi-weekly astronomy column, “View from Mars Hill”, for the Arizona Daily Sun newspaper. In May 2023, he served as Astronomer in Residence at the Grand Canyon. Fun fact: Kevin has both a fossil crab and asteroid named after him.
Nancy Maryboy, Ph.D. & David Begay, Ph.D.
Nancy Maryboy is a the Founding President of the Indigenous Education Institute. She has worked with NASA for more than 20 years, bringing Indigenous perspectives into space science and education. Co-author of Sharing the Skies: Navajo Astronomy – A Cross-Cultural View, she has received national recognition for her lifelong work in preserving cultural knowledge and connecting it with Western science. Dr. Maryboy has family roots in White Rock and Bluff, Utah.
