Bluff Elementary School and the Bluff Balloon Festival

Bluff Elementary School plays a substantial role in making the Bluff International Balloon Festival an event that draws pilots and visitors to Bluff  year after year during the Martin Luther King weekend.

Each fall, children at the Bluff Elementary School draw pictures of a hot air balloon with the hope that their art will be chosen as the centerpiece for the Bluff Balloon Festival poster.   This year’s poster features art by Allyn Allen, a 9-year old student at Bluff Elementary.   Congratulations, Allyn!

Just prior to the start of the Balloon Festival, several pilots visit Bluff Elementary to explain hot air ballooning to the students.

And the Friday night Navajo Taco Dinner is a standing room only event as pilots, crew, visitors, and Bluffoons come together at the Community Center to support this fundraiser for Bluff Elementary.    Entertainment is provided by Bluff Elementary students as they perform traditional Navajo singing and dancing.

Thank you to the students, parents and teachers of Bluff Elementary School for helping to make the Bluff International Balloon Festival such a successful event.
